SILKSCREEN PRINTING

This set of silkscreen printing works is based on a photograph I took in Bryant Park, New York. The photograph captures a group of chairs of different colors arranged in a random fashion. However, maybe due to the colors and arrangements, these chairs appear to have many different layers, almost as if they exist in different dimensions.

I was drawn to the idea of layering and dimensionality inherent in the process of silkscreen printing and felt that it was the perfect medium to bring this photograph to life. Through careful layering of color and form, I have created three distinct prints that capture the unique visual and emotional experience of the original photograph.

This set of silkscreen prints invites the viewer to explore the interplay between color, space, and form, and to contemplate the ways in which seemingly same elements can come together to create a unique perspective.
